What is Dance Basics?
Dance Basics is a Dance Class program for beginners. Each month we focus on one dance and cycle through the most popular ballroom dances today: East Coast Swing, Foxtrot, Cha-Cha, Rumba, Waltz, Salsa and Tango. The classes are held in the main ballroom on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:00 p.m.
Why Dance Harmony?
At Dance Harmony we focus on dancing with a partner. Not just “doing the steps” next to each other following the sequence, but rather focus on the dialogue between partners. We teach the men how to lead the partner, how to be clear and confident, responsible and respectful. We teach the ladies how to respond to a partner’s lead and feel comfortable in any dance situation. We look for harmony in the dance!
Class Levels
Dance Basics Level 1 – a class for absolute beginners. You have no dance experience? Great! That means you have no bad dance habits! Join this class and start with fellow dancers just like yourself. Soon you will make friends and feel comfortable on the dance floor. Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m.
Dance Basics Level 2 – we consider it as a continuation of Level 1 class. We expect dancers joining this class to be familiar with the few basic figures of the dance. May be a good class to take if you have taken classes before and would like to refresh your knowledge and skills. Thursdays at 7:00 p.m.
